Obituary of Jewel Irene Hicks

Jewel Irene Hicks, 72, of Taylor Mill, died Saturday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood. She was a retired employee of Sweco Inc., a former employee of Drackett Co. and a member of First Will Baptist Church, Covington. Survivors include her husband, Stanley Hicks; sons, Wayne Hicks, Dennis Hicks, Daryl Hicks, Greg "Red Dog" Hicks and Randy Hicks, all of Independence; a daughter, Teresa Hicks of Independence; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, Independence. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Floral Hills Cemetery, Taylor Mill. Memorials are suggested to Free Will Baptist Church, 4705 Fowler Creek Road, Covington, Ky. 41017.
