Obituary of Nannie Hale

Nannie Hale, of Walton, KY passed away at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood, KY on Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at the age of 82. Nannie sold Avon, enjoyed being a bank teller in Verona, KY for many years and retired from the IRS. She enjoyed bowling, gardening, reading and animals. Her greatest joy, however, was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Nannie was preceded in death by her parents, Verlin and Maudie Proffit; son, Michael Roy Hale and siblings, Homer Proffit, Ernest Proffit, Daisey Beckner, Eliza Cheek and Pauline Hinkle. Nannie is survived by Chester Hale; children, David Hale and his wife Sandra and Jennifer Hale Stafford and her husband Robert; sisters, Viola Marcum and Dorothy Bates; grandchildren, Logan, Lauren, Tylor and Briton; as well as many other relatives and friends. Visitation for Nannie will be held on Friday, June 9, 2017 at 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM, with the funeral service following at 12:00 PM at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home, Walton. Memorials in Nannie's name can be made to the 5 P Minus Society, 6229 Eckleson St., Lakewood, CA 90713.
