Obituary of James Donald Moses

James Donald Moses, 88 of Walton, KY., passed away on June 23, 2017. He was born on August 16, 1928 in Corinth, KY.  to the late Isaac J. Hue and Ethel (Dunn) Moses. He leaves behind his wife of 69 years, Bertha (Coyle) Moses.  

James Donald is survived by his children Peggy (Dave) Singleton and Jeannie (Steve) Thomas; 5 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren; several step-grandchildren; step-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; 3 brothers: Frazier, Aubrey, and Glenn as well as his oldest daughter, Brenda (Moses) Magee.

James was a member of Walton First Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and Sunday school teacher for over 30 years. Also, an army veteran, James retired from the Cincinnati Milacron where he worked as a machinist, foreman, and in field service.

He also loved boating, water skiing, camping, family gatherings, vacationing, traveling, gospel music, and was an avid basketball fan.

Visitation will be Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home in Walton from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM, with funeral services at 11:30 AM. Burial will follow at New Bethel Cemetery in Verona, KY. Memorial donations are suggested to the V.A. Hospital 3200 Vine St, Cincinnati, OH 45220 or National Parkinson Foundation 200 SE 1st Street Suite 800 Miami, FL 33131.
