Obituary of Chester Allen Shaw

     Chester Allen Shaw, of Covington, KY passed away at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood, KY on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at the age of 94.

     He was born in Berksville, KY on August 22, 1922; the son of Millard and Annie Mae Shaw. Chester was a member of Community Family Church and worked as a carpenter; having helped build the church for which he worshipped. He also enjoyed baseball and the Cincinnati Reds, as well as having dedication and love for his family.

     Chester was preceded in death by his wife, Ella Louise Shaw; son, Doug Sparks and siblings, Dorothy Sanders, Pauline Dyer, Cecil Shaw, Joseph Shaw and Calvin Shaw.

     He is survived by his son, Steve Shaw; siblings, Carrie Shaw, Ruth Wilson, Robbie Sipple, Junior Shaw, Kenneth Shaw and Bob Shaw; daughter-in-law, Ann Sparks; grandchildren, Aaron Sparks, Zachary Sparks, Daniel Sparks and Joshua Sparks; great-grandchild, Carson Sparks; as well as other relatives and friends.

     Visitation for Chester will take place from 10:00 AM until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at Community Family Church, 11875 Taylor Mill Rd, Independence, KY 41051.

     Memorials in Chester’s name may be given to the church.
