Obituary of Shirlee Rose White

     Shirlee Rose White, of Owenton, KY passed away at her residence on Friday, September 29, 2017 at the age of 78.

     She was born in White Bluff, TN on February 25, 1939; the daughter of Frank and Violet Owens. Shirlee enjoyed watching television, drawing and reading detective and mystery novels.

     She was preceded in death by her parents; daughters, Angela Faye White and Krista Kay White; sisters, Jayce Poe, Ann Poe, Frances Stone, Kay Staudemener and Lucille Mineer; brother, Earnest Owens and half-sister, Evelyn.

     Shirlee is survived by her daughters, Jolena (Eric) Mitchell and Karena White; grandchildren, Zackery Booker and Rachelle Mitchell; brother, Thomas Owens; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

     A visitation for Shirlee will be held from 11:00 AM until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 pm on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home, Independence. Burial will follow at Independence Cemetery.

     Memorials in Shirlee’s name may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
