Obituary of Wilburn McCleese

     Wilburn “Wilbur” “Webb” “Wade” “Dale” “Shorty” McCleese, of Morning View, KY passed away at his residence on Friday, September 29, 2017 at the age of 76.

     He was born in Morehead, KY on May 24, 1941; the son of Clyde and Faye McCleese. Wilburn was a Kentucky Colonel and enjoyed fishing, camping, hiking and getting lost in the outdoors.

     He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Patricia McCleese.

     Wilburn is survived by his son, Dale (Julie) McCleese; grandchildren, Lilly McCleese and Drew McCleese; brothers, Arthur McCleese and Donnie McCleese; special friend, Janet Henderson; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

     A visitation for Wilburn will be held from 10:00 AM until the funeral service at 1:00 PM on Thursday, October 5, 2017 at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home, Independence. Burial will immediately follow at Highland Cemetery in Ft. Mitchell, KY.
