Obituary of Jerry Ferguson

Jerry Ferguson, of Independence, KY passed away at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood, KY on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at the age of 77. He was born in Christiana, TN on December 18, 1939; the son of Charles and Ethel Ferguson. Jerry retired from General Electric as an aviation mechanic and was a member of Northern Kentucky Baptist Church. He also enjoyed yardwork, farming, fixing cars and spending time with his family. Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Carolyn Ferguson; sons, James Brian (Ruth) Ferguson and Charles Murphy (Alicia) Ferguson; siblings, Angie (Mike) Herman, Nadine Kidd, Marlene Cruse and Kenneth (Deborah) Ferguson; grandchildren, Alyssa Joy Ferguson and Michael Foltz; as well as other relatives and friends. Visitation for Jerry will be held from 12:00 PM until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 PM on Monday, November 27, 2107 at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home, Independence. Burial will immediately follow at Hughes Chapel Cemetery in Union, KY. Memorials in Jerry’s name may be given to Northern Kentucky Baptist Church, 2681 Turkeyfoot Rd, Lakeside Park, KY 41017.
