Obituary of C.J. Connelly

C.J. Connelly, age 51, of Florence, KY, formerly of Bay City, MI, passed away suddenly on Friday, January 12, 2018 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Edgewood, KY.  He was a former Social Studies Teacher at Twenhofel Middle School and Summit View Academy and he coached at those schools as well as Simon Kenton High School in Independence, KY.  C.J. had a wonderful sense of humor and made everyone around him laugh.  He loved golfing, teaching, coaching, gambling, being a fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, but most of all he loved his beloved wife and daughter, Becky Eller Connelly, and Bridgit Connelly.  Other survivors include his father, Robert Connelly; mother and step-father, Linda and James Bellottie; siblings, Chris Bellottie (Michelle), Matt Connelly (Michele), and Katie Connelly; several nieces and nephews; and many other friends, colleagues and former students.  A gathering of friends will be held Wednesday, January 17, 2018 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. with a celebration of life service beginning at 7 p.m. at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home in Independence, KY.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made by contacting BB&T Bank, 111 Lookout Farm Drive, Crestview Hills, KY 41017 or by calling (859) 372-9740.  Online condolences may be expressed to www.chambersandgrubbs.com.
