Obituary of Hugh Mullins

Hugh Mulloy Mullins, age 93, of Independence, joined the Lord and his beloved wife, Juanita “Nefer” Parr Mullins (2015), on Sunday, March 4, 2018.

He was a former co-owner of Craig’s Express in Falmouth, KY, and worked for both Thoroughbred Dog Food Co. and Square D Electric as an over the road driver for over 45 years. In his retirement he was the manager of Riverfront Place for 22 years.

Hugh was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church, Teamsters Local 651, a Kentucky Colonel and volunteered for the Kenton Community Fire Departments. 

He is preceded in death by his wife, parents, Chester and Hazel Mullins and his sister, Margaret Mullins Campbell.

Hugh was the loving daddy to Debbie Mullins and Diane (Jeffery) Cook; doting grandfather to Brian (Stacey) Cook and Jessica (Hector) Medina; adoring great-grandfather to Jessica, Alex, Joseph, Trey, Ty and Liliana; loving brother to Vivian Sander and many nieces and nephews. He will be dearly missed by his dedicated caregivers including Neen, Linda, Amanda and the Cadillac Drive neighbors.

A visitation for Hugh will be held on Friday, March 9, 2018 from 11AM until 1PM at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home in Independence.

Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 1PM. Interment will immediately follow at Independence Cemetery.
