Linda Mae McIntosh (Turner), age 72, of Taylor Mill, KY, passed away unexpectedly on December 10, 2021 at St. Elizabeth Edgewood.
Linda graduated from Newport High School in 1969 and later married her husband that same year and both had recently celebrated 52 years of marriage. She went on later to pursue a cosmetology career and enjoyed doing family and friend’s hair. She retired from Duro Bag Mfg. Co. (Novolex) in August 2009 after working there 11 years. She enjoyed working and teaching others several crafting hobbies, quilting, scrapbooking, ceramics, and jewelry making. She has received several awards for her painting skills with ceramics. She loved spending time with her family and friends, and loved by all who was fortunate enough to see her smile light up a room.
Linda is preceded in death by her Parents, Jesse and Geneva, Stepmother Ida, and Grandson Robert (Bobby).
She is survived by her husband, Walter, of Taylor Mill; her brother, Timothy Turner and sister, Vicki Cook of Tyner; her son Walter, Jr. and wife Jeanine of Thompsons Station, TN; her daughters, Donna of Taylor Mill, Jessica and her husband Joe of Wallingford, Linnetta and her husband Rob of Hebron, and Rebecca of Kenton Vale; grandchildren, Dakota “Coty”, Ethan, Austin, Andrew, Virginia, Cassidy “Cassy”, Lindsey, Lillian “Lilly” and Levi; great-grandchildren, Issy and Bee; as well as many other relatives and friends.
A visitation celebrating Linda’s life will be held from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM on Thursday, December 16, 2021 at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home, 11382 Madison Pike, Independence, KY 41051. A funeral service will immediately follow at 6:00 PM at the funeral home.
