Obituary of Charlotte Joan Biddle Black
Charlotte Joan Biddle Black, age 82 of Verona, Ky passed away Saturday, June 11, 2022, surrounded by family, at her daughter’s residence. She was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church in Verona, Ky. She was a homemaker and retired from the Boone County School systems as a Bus Aide. Her roles as loving Wife, Mother and Mamaw will be her lasting legacy as an incredible role model on how to love and care for others.
Joan enjoyed crafting, sewing, cooking and camping, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her loving husband (of 52 years), Paul Raymond Black; son, Troy Raymond Black; and parents Edward and Leona Biddle and sister, Nellie Biddle.
Left to lovingly carry on her legacy are her children, Teresa Tolliver (Dean), Tarina Goldsberry (Todd), and Bobbie Jo Black, grandson, Taylor Scott Bergfeld (Sarah Burnett), her brothers and sisters, Pete Biddle, Buford Biddle, Linda Sharon, Ann Kelly, Roberta Hegge, Ernie Biddle, Helen Holder, Vista Ratliff, Paul Biddle, Jimmy Biddle, Spencer Biddle, Leon Biddle, and Tommy Biddle, and many loving family members and special lifelong friend Leona Edwards (late husband Coy).
Visitation will be Thursday, June 16, 2022, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at New Bethel Baptist Church, 2022 Verona-Mudlick Rd., Verona, KY 41092 with funeral services following immediately. Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home is assisting the family with services.
