Obituary of Sandra Kathleen Simms-Schwab
Sandy Simms-Schwab, a resident of Florence, KY, passed away surrounded by her loving family at St. Elizabeth Hospice Center in Edgewood, KY on Friday, July 1, 2022, at the vibrant age of 74. She was born in Dayton, KY on August 19, 1947, the daughter of the late Robert and Nannette Simms.
Sandy was currently employed as an executive assistant with Mass Mutual. She was an active member of the Florence Baptist Church for over 30 years where she loved to sing in the choir. She was a passionate gardener and enjoyed watching UK sports. She most of all cherished the time spent with her children and grandchildren who brought so much joy into her life.
Preceding her in death were her parents and infant daughter Kristin Schwab.
Those left to carry on Sandy’s legacy include her beloved and compassionate children, Jason (Holly) Schwab, Jennifer (Matthew) Maxwell, and Amanda (Kristopher) Watson; siblings Ken (Pam) Simms, Barbara (Ted) Seiter, Todd (Joan) Simms, and Mike (Sandra) Simms; grandchildren Noah, Koleton, Greyson, Lucas, Camden, Levi, Isabella, and Madelyn; as well as countless other relatives and friends who she made an immense impact on their lives.
A Visitation will be held from 9:00am until 11:00am on Saturday, July 9, 2022, at Florence Baptist Mt. Zion Church, 642 Mt. Zion Road, Florence, KY 41042. A Celebration of Life Service will immediately follow at 11:00am at the church.
Sandy will then be laid to rest in a private family burial at Evergreen Cemetery, 25 Alexandria Pike, Southgate, KY 41071.
