Obituary of Ruth Magee

Ruth Magee of Morning View, age 99, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 4, 2022 at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood, KY. She was born in Cincinnati, OH to the late Joseph and Clara Geiger on February 15, 1923. She was a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church and retired after working 30 years in the cafeteria for Piner Schools. She enjoyed doing yardwork and taking care of her garden. She loved to spend time with her family- especially when they took her on vacation. Ruth had a good appetite and a great sense of humor. She was always looking to get a laugh or smile out of someone and she will be missed dearly.

In addition to her parents and siblings, she is preceded in death by her husband, Howard Samuel Magee.

Survivors include her loving children, Joseph “Joe” (Peggy) Magee, Robert “Bob” Magee, Dale (Darlene) Magee, David “Dave” Magee, Sam Magee, Randy (Nanci) Magee, and Judy (Greg) Young; 29 grandchildren; 56 great-grandchildren; 18 great-great-grandchildren; as well as other friends and relatives who will cherish her memory.

A visitation will be held on Friday, July 8, 2022 from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, 5313 Madison Pike Independence, KY 41051. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 12:00 PM on Friday, at the church. Immediately following mass, Ruth will be laid to rest next to her husband in St. Cecilia Catholic Cemetery.
