Obituary of Grayson Leon Mullins

Grayson “Leon” Mullins, age 87, of Hebron, Kentucky, passed away peacefully and went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 19, 2022, as he was surrounded by his devoted and loving family. Grayson was a retiree of General Motors Fischer Body who enjoyed fishing, listening to Bluegrass Gospel, trains, and the outdoors.

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Dorothy N. Mullins, they were happily married for nearly 62 years; his parents, Leon and Verna E. Mullins; brother, William (W.C.) Mullins; sisters, Emma Jane Greer and Anna Jean Mullins; and his great-granddaughter, Taylor Marie Mullins.

Grayson is survived by his children, Belinda McCarthy (Paul), David Mullins (Betty Ashcraft), Darrel Mullins, Mark Mullins (Tammy), 2 sisters, Jackie Hojnacki and Geketa Gray; grandchildren, Gregory McCarthy (Natalie), Justin McCarthy (Stephanie), Michael McCarthy (Naomi), Jared McCarthy (Misty), Curtis, Derek, Megan, Heather, and Brittany Mullins; as well as 26 great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at Community Family Church, 11875 Taylor Mill Rd. Independence, KY 41051 on Thursday, July 28, 2022. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM with the funeral ceremony immediately following at 12:00 PM. Grayson will be laid to rest in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
