Obituary of Patricia "Pat" Marie Becker
Patricia "Pat" Marie Becker (nee Babb), born on May 5, 1927 in Oneida, Scott County, Tennessee to Luray Bell "Laura" Phillips and James "Pop" Henderson Babb. She met the love of her life and future husband, Carl Conley, while visiting NKY and never went back home. Pat and Carl were married on March 1, 1954 in Covington, Kentucky and welcomed daughters Valerie and Melody.
Married George Becker April 1, 1988.
She is preceded in death by her parents Luray Phillips & James Babb, husbands Carl Conley (d. 9/27/83) and George Becker (d. 3/31/91).
Her family was always her greatest joy - Grandma always had time for her loved ones, even when they dropped by unexpectedly. Her love of family will forever guide us forward.
Avid in her quest to find her roots, she was honored to be granted membership in the First Families of Tennessee by the East Tennessee Historical Society on the record of her 3rd great-grandfather (great-great-great-grandfather) Seth Babb, a Revolutionary War Patriot who was in the encampment at the capitulation and saw General George Washington and Lord Cornwallis ride through after the surrender. Her Babb roots in the U.S. trace back to 7th great-grandfather, Philip Babb, found living on Appledore Isle (Main, now Massachusetts) in 1664.
Survivors include: Daughters Valerie (Tim) Lunsford of Kentucky and Melody (Wade) Biddulph of Ohio, 6 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren, and special nieces and nephews.
A huge thank you to her Rosedale Green "family" for all the love and care you have given her. A special thank you to Carol.
