Obituary of Donald Joseph Easybuck, Sr.
Donald Joseph Easybuck, Sr. of Walton, age 83, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 2, 2025, at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood, KY. He was born in Morning View, KY on August 15, 1941, to the late Georgia {Hawkins} and Mahlon Easybuck. Don was a United States Army veteran and retired as a construction superintendent for Oswald Company. Although he worked various jobs away from home, his true passion was farming. Don truly loved coming home to tend to his tobacco and cattle farm. Don was also a former director of the Kenton County Farm Bureau. In his free time, he enjoyed playing cards and watching NASCAR races. At the end of the day, Don’s family was most important to him and he valued spending time with them. He was a wonderful husband, dad, and grandpa who will be remembered for the kind, honest, hardworking man he was.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Wanda Sharp and Charles Easybuck.
Survivors include his devoted wife of 50 years, Rose {Parker} Easybuck; loving sons, Donald (Dawn) Easybuck, JR., Stephen (Rachel) Easybuck, and Michael (Christina) Easybuck; beloved grandchildren, Jessica, Taylor, Erica, Emily, Ivan, and Alex; his sister, Glenna (Bruce) Whaley; as well as several other friends and relatives who will cherish his memory.
A visitation will be held on Friday, January 10, 2025, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, 11382 Madison Pike Independence, KY 41051. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at the funeral home. Immediately following the service, Don will be laid to rest at Independence Cemetery.
