It is with immense sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved daughter, sister, niece, and friend, Reagan Rose Amburgey, who left us far too soon on. Reagan’s light touched the lives of all who knew her, and though she was taken from us too young, her spirit and love will continue to shine in our hearts forever.
Born on April 3, 2004, Reagan was a beautiful soul, full of warmth, kindness, and compassion. She is survived by her adoring father Billy Ray Amburgey Jr, Mother Kasey Marie Paulson, devoted twin brother Steven James Amburgey, brother Carson Michael Amburgey, sisters Emma Elizabeth Amburgey and MacKenzie Gabrielle Amburgey, her half-brother Cody Setser, her grandfather United States Marine Billy Ray Amburgey Sr., her cherished Aunt Shannon (Shay Shay) Amburgey, her cousins Caylie Amburgey and Brianna Shoemaker, as well as dear family members Savannah Berry, Grandmother Gena Snow,Tommy Hughes, and many others whose lives she touched with her love and friendship.
Reagan is Preceded in death by Her Biological Mother Ava Setser, Cousin Jessica Wilson, Aunt Melissa Amburgey, and her MawMaw Donna Jean Amburgey.
Reagan’s journey through life was one of resilience, hope, and transformation. Inspired by her brother Carson, Reagan gave her life to Christ on December 8, 2024, and bravely worked to break free from the struggles of addiction, anxiety, and depression. Through her faith and determination, she found strength and peace, always seeking to rise above the challenges she faced.
A gifted student, Reagan excelled in both middle and high school, where she was an honors student and graduated early from Talawanda High School in Oxford, Ohio.
Reagan wanted to become a lawyer and help children. She was a true testament to the power of perseverance and hard work.
Reagan had a passion for life. She loved playing volleyball, singing with her family, and would often sing her baby sister, Emma, to sleep even in her teenage years, showing the depth of her love and care. Reagan was a "daddy’s girl" and had a special, fierce bond with her mother, Kasey, that will never be broken.
Reagan’s heart was full of love for animals. She was a true animal lover, always rescuing strays and raising them as her own, offering them the same warmth and affection she gave to her family. As Aunt TT to her nieces Mahlayah and Neveah, and nephew Liam, Reagan adored being part of their lives, showering them with love and creating memories they will cherish forever.
Reagan’s presence lit up every room she entered. Her infectious smile, caring nature, and radiant energy made her a beacon of light in the lives of all who were lucky enough to know her. Though her time with us was short, her legacy of love, kindness, and strength will continue to live on.
A private service will be held to honor and remember Reagan. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to organizations supporting mental health and animal rescue, causes that were dear to Reagan’s heart.
Reagan, you will be forever loved, forever missed, and never forgotten. Your light will continue to shine in all of us, and we will carry you with us in our hearts always.
Rest in peace, sweet Reagan Rose.
