So sorry to hear this sad news. Our condolences to you and your family. I was in the US Peace Corps in Cuenca, Ecuador from 1970 to 1976 doing forestry work with CREA. We knew Dale and Karen when Beth and Matt were very young. I need to look in my journals and photo archives I remember visiting you when you were missionaries at your home near Cuenca. We may have had some joint projects we worked on. I looked at the memorial slide show on this site, and one group photo had John and Audrey Johnson in it. We had kept contact with the Johnson's for years. I think one time maybe in the 1980's we drove down to Los Angeles from Fresno County to visit the Johnsons and Karen, Dale and family were staying at their house at the time. That may be the last time saw your family. I will see if I have any photos from when we knew you in Ecuador and add them here if I find any. And again, Condolences on your loss from Thomas and Susan Catchpole, Prather CA

The first time I met Karen, I didn't want her to leave. She was the most kind person I had ever met. After that she gave me the tools to find my peace of mind, and would never take credit, it was always Glory to God! I'm not sure if I would be ok today, if it wasn't for her.

I met Karen at the Bridge Church. She had such a strong, determined spirit for everyone's soul. She loved God so much & it just flowed out of her. Karen, I know it was a glorious day for you to touch the face of God & rejoin with your lovely husband
