Obituary of Mary "Peggy" Frances Chambers

Mary “Peggy” Frances Chambers, of Walton, age 87, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 24, 2025, within the comfort of her home. She was born in Gallatin County, KY on March 8, 1937, to the late Ernestine {Poland} and Floyd Densler. Peggy retired after many years of working as a hairdresser and seamstress at her own beauty shop. In her spare time, she enjoyed quilting and volunteering at the senior center in Walton. Peggy was also a member of the Eastern Star. Most of all, she loved spending time with her loving family.

She is survived by her brother, Danny Densler; numerous nieces and nephews; as well as several other relatives and friends who will cherish her memory.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Chambers; and her siblings, Charles Densler, Bill Densler, Raymond Densler, Ronald Densler, James Densler, Claud Densler, Katherine Flynn, Edith Shumate, Barbara Michael, Shirley Kincaid, and Vera Batton.

A visitation will be held on Friday, February 28, 2025, from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, 45 N. Main St. Walton, KY 41094. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM, with Brother David Wiggins to officiate. Immediately following the service, Peggy will be laid to rest at Crittenden Cemetery.
