Tina L. Brandenburg Obituary
Tina L. Brandenburg (née Braun), 58, of Independence, KY, passed away, leaving behind a life lived with passion and an unapologetic spirit.
Born in Cincinnati, OH, to Arthur and Ruby Braun, Tina was their only child—a big surprise and an even bigger blessing. She cared for her mother until her passing, demonstrating the deep love and loyalty that defined her.
Tina was small but mighty, a force to be reckoned with. She was fiercely independent, stood up for what was right, and always rooted for the underdog. With a strong political mind, she proudly served at the voting polls, ensuring every voice was heard.
Cats were a constant theme throughout Tina’s life. Her latest companion being her cat, John Bon Jovi or “Johnny” for short. She loved him dearly. In her early years, Tina taught adult computer classes, helping others navigate the digital world. She later found her niche in sales, where her magnetic personality made her a favorite among customers and friends alike. For years, she worked in her community by offering Mary Kay products, jewelry, nails, and Tupperware, always on the run. A true car enthusiast, Tina would light up to attend car shows. She was particularly proud of her beloved Chevelle, “The Boss,” which she repainted multiple times, each layer telling a story of her ever-evolving creativity.
Tina met the love of her life, George Brandenburg, in the most serendipitous way—winning tickets to a dinner date hosted by a local radio station. That chance encounter blossomed into over 20 years of love and companionship, a bond unbreakable in this life and the next.
Tina is survived by her cat; Johnny, her husband; George Brandenburg, her step-daughter; Sara(Avery) Benken, grandchildren; Alexander Benken, Jaeden Carson, and Brody Benken; sister-in-laws, Marie Brandenburg and Debbie (Doug) Biggs; niece and nephew Miranda Wolfenbarger, Colby(Lesley) Biggs; and cousins Tracey Harvey, Julia Harvey, Cara Robinson, Heather Sutter, John Sutter, and Bob Sutter.
Services will be held on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home 11382 Independence, KY 41051, visitation begining at 5:00pm-7:00pm. Her funeral service will begin at 12:30pm on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, also at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
