Obituary of Charles J. France

Charles J. France, 80, of Florence, KY, passed away on Sunday, March 2, 2025, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Florence. The son of the late Oakley France and Magdalene {Stewart} France, Charlie was born in Clay County, KY on August 17, 1944. Charlie was a proud United States Army Veteran and later went on to be an Upholsterer for over 30 years. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching NASCAR races and sharing a drink with his friends.

He will be deeply missed by his children, Sheila White and Johnny France; siblings Edna McMillian, Virginia Crawford, Don France, and Elmer France; and 3 grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Charlie was preceded in death by his siblings Roger France, Leon France, Earl France, Cecil France, and Edith Cade.
