Obituary of Terry Lee Moloney
Terry Lee Moloney, 67, of Independence, KY, passed away peacefully, after a long illness, with his wife of 35 years by his side, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, dedication, and love for his family.
Born to the late Thomas W. Moloney and Beata C. (Moster) Moloney, Terry grew up with an interest in mechanics and cars—skills that he would carry throughout his life. His fascination with cars began early, most notably when he and his twin brother took their parents’ car for a joyride across Erlanger Road at the young age of 4. He also had a great talent for fixing things, which led him to work as a maintenance supervisor at LSI Metal Fabrication.
He met his beloved wife, Barbara while working together, and they created a home filled with laughter, hard work, and cherished memories. They raised their children in Owen County before moving into their home in Independence.
He enjoyed playing computer chess, completing crossword puzzles, or any other task that he could be hands on with. He also enjoyed playing cards with his siblings and spending time with his family.
Terry is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Helen Agnes Moloney. Survived by his devoted wife, Barbara Jean (Jeannie) , and his children: Sara (Chad) McGaha, Angel (Joseph) Dickmeyer, Daniel (Alicia) Herrmann, and Charles “Nick” (Shawna) Moloney. He was the proud grandfather of Kailey, Bayne, Michel, Jackson, Dalton, Austin, and Abigail. He is also survived by his siblings Margaret Carol Robbins, Mary Kathryn Whalen, Stephen Thomas Moloney, and his twin, Patrick Joseph Moloney, as well as many nephews and nieces.
