Obituary of Sheri Lee Williams

Sheri Lee Raisor Williams, age 65, of Independence, KY, passed away Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Edgewood, KY.  She was a retired Bus Monitor for Kenton County Schools, but her life was devoted to her family.  Sheri was a graduate of Holmes High School, where she excelled in track, especially throwing the discus.  Later as an adult, she enjoyed playing recreational softball with her friends.  She is survived by her loving husband (of 44 years), Robert Lee Williams, her sons, Brandon Lee Williams (Kelli) and James Kyle Williams (Katie); siblings, Denise Daly (Mike), Kim Placke (Kevin), and Mitch Raisor (Rhonda Orzali); grandchildren, Katelyn Martin (Michael), Jacob Dau, Mason Williams, Teagan Williams, Tristyn Williams, and Greyson Williams; great grandchildren, Brantley Martin and Brooks Martin; father-in-law, Lanny Williams (Joyce); and sister-in-law, Diane Sowards.  Her parents, James Donald Raisor and Martha Pratt Raisor, mother-in-law, Ruth Williams, and brother-in-law, Randy Sowards preceded her in death.  A visitation for Sheri will be Wednesday, March 12, 2025, from 5 pm to 7 pm, with her memorial service immediately following at 7 pm at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, 11382 Madison Pike, Independence, KY 41051.  Memorials in Sheri’s name may be made to the American Lung Association at www.lung.org or by mailing to the American Lung Association Donation Processing Center, PO Box 70360, Philadelphia, PA 19176-0360.  For directions to Sheri’s services, to view her Life Tribute Video or to leave the family a message of condolence, please go to www.chambersandgrubbs.com.
