Obituary of Thomas Richard Schoborg

Thomas Richard Schoborg, age 85, of Independence, KY, passed away, Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at Villa Springs Skilled Nursing Facility in Erlanger, KY.  He was a retired Maintenance Supervisor for Erlanger/Elsmere Schools and a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church.  Tom enjoyed camping, following U.K. basketball, and most importantly spending time with his family.  His parents, Herman and Margaret Flerlage Schoborg; sister, Rita Dumbacher; grandson, Tony Ruff; son-in-law, Harold Hensley; and brother-in-laws, John Dumbacher and Vincent Kaub, all preceded him in death.  He is survived by his wife (of almost 62 years), Georgiana Wolke Schoborg; children, Michael T. Schoborg (Angie), Christine M. Hensley, Julie A. Stanfield (Richard), and Mary K. “Katie” Angell; sister, Mary Lou Kaub; grandchildren, Laura Matte (Dustin), James Schoborg, Samantha Stanfield, Ashley Stanfield, Paula Ellis (Ethan), Chelsea Schoborg, Collin Hensley (Hannah), Travis “T.J.” Stanfield (Angela), Josh Hensley (Emilie), Megan Angell, and Amanda Angell; and twenty great grandchildren.   Visitation for Tom will be Thursday, March 20, 2025, from 12 noon to 2 pm with a memorial mass beginning at 2 pm at St. Patrick Church, 3285 Mills Rd., Taylor Mill, KY 41015.  Memorials may be made to St. Patrick Church.  For directions, to view Tom’s Life Tribute Video or to leave the Schoborg family a message of condolence, please go to www.chambersandgrubbs.com.
