Rick Klein Obituary

Richard "Rick" Klein, a devoted husband, father, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 23, 2025 at the age of 67.

Rick graduated with his bachelors degree from the University of Cincinnati with his English major as he wanted to keep his options for his future broad. He served his country honorably as a Corporal in the United States Marine Corps, embodying strength and discipline throughout his life. In 2001, he married the love of his life, Renee (Kesterson) Klein, and together they built a life centered on love and faith. Their greatest joys were their two sons, Darius and Joel Klein, whom he adored beyond measure. He was his sons' biggest fan, never missing a basketball game or swim meet, always there to encourage and support them.

Rick was a proud fan of The State University, the Cincinnati Reds, and the Green Bay Packers—never missing a chance to cheer for his teams. His days were filled with simple joys: gardening flowers, fishing both solo and alongside his friends and sons, and faithfully watching Fox News to stay informed.

Rick had a deep love for dogs, and held a special place in his heart for his pup, Christmas, who passed away last year. His faith was an essential part of his life, and he was a dedicated member of New Hope Tabernacle Church of God since 2011, attending services with his family.

In Heaven, Rick is greeted by his parents; Richard Klein Jr. and Louise Kortekamp Klein. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He leaves behind his wife; Renee Klein, his sons; Darius and Joel Klein, his siblings; Sue Beck, Terri (Rod) Clary, Robin (Jerry) Houck, and Kenny (Tonja) Klein, his father and mother-in-law; Melvin and Brenda Pyatt, and many other family members and friends. His unwavering love for his family, his loyalty to his friends, and his ability to find joy in life's simple moments will never be forgotten.

A service to honor and celebrate Rick’s life will be held at New Hope Tabernacle Church of God on Friday, March 28th, with visitation beginning at 6:00pm and his services beginning at 8:00pm.

Semper Fi, Rick. You will be deeply missed.
