Michael Joseph "Buzz" Conley, 75, of Lakeside Park, KY, passed away unexpectedly on April 1, 2025.  He was born in Covington, KY, on March 9, 1950, to the late Wesley Conley and Jean (Thamen) Conley.

Mike was the father of Lisa (Ken) Bacon, Wayne (Lisa) Conley and Tracy Conley; brother to David Conley and Buddy Conley; friend and companion to Barbara Fuller; the grandpa and great grandpa to many grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Mike was preceded in death by his parents Wesley and Jean Conley as well as his wife, Judy Conley.  

Mike was a longtime, hard-working employee of Riegler Blacktop for 40 years, this is where he was given his nickname "Buzz." 

Mike loved his job, he would say "the Rieglers are family" and it was obvious they felt the same way about him.  In his many years there, he had worn many hats.  Not only could Mike operate the equipment he could repair it too.  At the time of his death, he was a heavy equipment operator.  His many coworkers will cherish the fond memories they have of "Buzz," they will miss their friend and his kind smile.  

Mike believed in working hard and enjoying the finer things that life had to offer, like fancy suits and his annual Jamaican vacation. This was his happy place, and he looked forward to his trip every winter.  In Jamaica, he made lifelong friends with people from all over the world, and they too are saddened by the loss of such a wonderful friend.  

Mike enjoyed cooking and grilling, as well as just relaxing by the pool.  He was a collector of many things, and he loved history.  Mike was very knowledgeable and a great storyteller.  

Friends and family will gather to share memories, find solace in one another's company, and honor the legacy Mike leaves behind on Monday, April 7, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home, 8461 Dixie Hwy, Florence, KY 41042.  

At 12:00 PM, Mr. Boone Riegler will speak and close with a prayer.  A celebration of life will be held at Riegler Blacktop, 165 Weaver Rd., Florence, KY 41042.  Mike will be laid to rest comfortably at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Erlanger, KY. 

Memorial donations may be made online or in person at services to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
