Ellen “Kay” Roberts, 83, of Independence, KY, passed away on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at her home surrounded by her beloved family. Daughter of the late Walter and Flora {Fisk} Redman, Kay was born in Kenton County, KY, on August 18, 1941.

Kay is preceded in death by her parents; first husband Robert Pierson; her second husband Jerry Roberts; and her sister Laura Ann Bishop. Kay will be deeply missed by her children, Connie (David Streine) Sams and Eric Pierson; brother Douglas (Marge) Redman; grandchildren Ellen Elizabeth Sams, Emily Anne Palmer, William John Sams “Billy,” Brian Pierson, and Brandon Pierson; 10 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A private family graveside service was held at Independence Cemetery where Kay was laid to rest. A Celebration of Life Service in honor of Kay will be held in the near future, service details are forthcoming.
