Obituary of Debbie Crouch

Debbie Crouch of Ryland Heights, age 80, passed away in the comfort of her own home on Saturday, April 26, 2025, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Demossville, KY on July 5, 1944. Debbie enjoyed spending her free time reading and caring for her little dog that she loved dearly. She would bring her little dog along with her everywhere she could! Most of all, Debbie loved to spend time with her family. She was a caring wife, mom, and mamaw who will be missed beyond measure. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, Leona {Martin} and Bernard Spegal; sons, Richard Abel, Jeffrey Abel, and Mark Abel; grandson, Jason Abel; and her siblings, George Cornelius, Frank Cornelius, Helen Davis, Audrey Stamper, Ruth McLafferty, and Frances Martin.

Survivors include her husband, James Crouch; beloved children, Trina (David) Mardis, Tina Martin, and step-sons, Ron (Lora) Crouch, and Willie Crouch; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; as well as other friends and relatives who will cherish her memory.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 1, 2025, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM, at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, 11382 Madison Pike Independence, KY 41051. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM. Immediately following the service, Debbie will be laid to rest at New Bethel Cemetery in Verona, KY. Memorial donations can be made in her name to Emerald Trace and mailed to 3802 Turkeyfoot Rd, Elsmere, KY 41018.
