Daniel Gene Routt, age 72, of Independence, KY, passed away Friday, May 23, 2025, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Edgewood.  He was a retired Truck Driver for Roadway and enjoyed fishing, hunting and antiquing.  His parents, Rodney and Alice Cornett Routt, preceded him in death.  He is survived by his daughter, Danielle (Kevin) Trauth; brother, Rusty (Elizabeth) Routt and Mike Routt; and grandchildren, Kyle (Victoria Thomas) Trauth and Carson Trauth.  Visitation for “Danny” will be Friday, June 6, 2025, from 10 am to 12 pm with his funeral service to immediately follow at 12 pm at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, 11382 Madison Pike, Independence, KY 41051.  His interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Southgate, KY.  Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O.
