Patricia “Patti” Lou (Dobbs) Houghton, 92, of Florence KY entered the gates of Heaven on June 19, 2025. She was born on January 8, 1933 to Horace and Thelma {Reading} Dobbs.

Patti met her husband, Graeme, who preceded her in death on an airline flight, and they were inseparable until his passing. She and Graeme (a native of Australia), found joy in the “cruise life.” They were blessed to take many trips on the Princess line, often for months at a time. They especially enjoyed their cruise to China where they walked along the Great Wall. They dreamed of living on a cruise ship with the sea always beneath their feet, but Graeme’s passing prevented their dream from becoming a reality. Patti was a feisty lady who loved her cat, Lu Lu. Patti was legally blind, so she found joy in music, especially the sounds of the 1940s, the Glenn Miller Orchestra, and gospel music.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents.

While Patti never had children or siblings of her own, she grew close to her dear friends, Lisa (Allen) Volz and Patricia “Pat” (Mike) Brantley whom she entrusted to carry out her final wishes.

Patti and Graeme will be inurned together on June 30, 2025 at 10am in New Bethel Cemetery in Verona, KY.
