Chris and I give thanks for Steve's friendship. He was a faithful servant who truly reflected the heart of Christ. Through his gift of hospitality, he welcomed others with a smile, humor and fun showing all the warmth of God’s love. Steve made others feel seen, cared for, and valued—not for attention or praise, but as a reflection of his deep love for the Lord.
Scripture says, “Always be eager to practice hospitality” (Romans 12:13, NLT), and Steve lived this out daily—opening doors, fist bumps with the kids, and creating space for joy to flourish, all in the name of Jesus. His desire was never to impress, but to bless—and in doing so, he made the gospel visible in everyday moments.
We grieve his absence with us, but rejoice knowing Steve has now entered the joy of the Master, where the table is eternal and the welcome is everlasting. “Well done, good and faithful servant” (Matthew 25:23, NLT).
