Ralph Cox Jr, 61 of Morning View, KY passed away peacefully at home on July 17, 2025. Known fondly as Dewey and Duke, Ralph was a devoted husband to Janice Cox, with whom he shared 35 wonderful years of marriage this coming August.
Ralph was a skilled welder by trade and other than his family, nothing brought him more joy than being at work. He was a man who cherished spending time with his family, especially taking his grandchildren for 4-wheeler drives down to the creek. His favorite title was “Grandpa,” and he found joy in fishing, animals (especially dogs) and creating his famous spaghetti sauce that his wife adored.
Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph Sr. and Thelma Cox, and his brother, Marvin Cox.
Ralph is survived by his loving wife, Janice; his stepson Allen (Crissy) Meyer; his brothers, Richard (Debbie) Cox and Jeff Cox and sister, Melissa Gertz. He leaves behind his grandchildren, Aimee (Caleb) Jud, Jason and Erik Meyer and Daniel Siemer. Great Grandchildren, Aidan Jud, Grayson Almond and Piper Siemer.
He will be missed by all who knew him.
Per Ralph’s request, there will be no visitation or service.
