Victoria “Vickie” Wyatt nee Hughes, age 74, of Walton, KY, passed away on Thursday, July 24, 2025, peacefully with her husband and children at her bedside with her beloved dog, Cletus carefully watching over each interaction.

Vickie was the second child of Charles and Betty Hughes. Raised in Villa Hills, KY with her siblings; Mike, Judy, Colleen, Peggy, Tim, and Shelly, she learned the meaning of love and family. As a young woman, Vickie and Dave brought up a family in Lakeside Park, KY.

 She was a dedicated worker and was devoted to her community. If another was in need of a helping hand, comforting hug, or words of wisdom- she shared selflessly. To Vickie, there was no higher calling than loving her family. She showed her love by being fully present. She loved to watch her grandchildren play sports.  She was artistic in a fashion that filled her soul. Taking time to craft at home, drawing or painting. She was content in the beauty of working with her hands. Vickie enjoyed casting a line in the lake where she lived for decades with her husband, Earl. There, she would piddle around her yard, gardening. Friends will recall the miniature frog statues throughout her garden, even creating a little frog home. She loved animals, especially her cats; Harley D and B.B., as well as her pup, Cletus.

“Mimi” was her favorite name, earned from her four grandchildren, though  “friend” is who she was to so many. Vickie loved to have fun with her neighbors at Boone Lake.  She was a joyful woman who will be impossible to forget.

In Heaven she is greeted by her parents, her siblings; Judy Meyer, Peggy Wyatt, Tim Hughes, and Shelly Hughes, her son in law Jeff Rennekamp, and her niece Danielle. Left to mourn her loss is her husband; Earl Wyatt, children; Amy Rennekamp, Jeff Knochelman, and Maribeth (Mike) grandchildren; Austin O’Brien, Charleigh Turner, Ashley O’Brien, and Luke Rennekamp, siblings; Mike Hughes and Colleen Williams, extended nieces, nephews, and many neighbors and friends.

Please join her family for a visitation to remember her life on Wednesday, July 30th at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, 45 North Main Street, Walton, KY 41094. Visitation from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. Vickie will be laid to rest at Highland Cemetery next to her mother.
