James Albert Litmer Obituary

James Albert Litmer, 73, of Union, Kentucky passed away on August 2, 2025.  Born to Albert and Bernice Litmer, James was a proud graduate of Newport Catholic High School and a proud veteran of the United States Navy.


He enjoyed a successful career as a sales manager for Third Hand Archery.


James is survived by his wife; his two children; 10 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; three siblings; numerous nieces and nephews; as well as great-nieces and nephews.


A devoted member of the Patriot Guard, James had a passion for archery, hunting, and riding motorcycles.  Above all, he cherished spending time with his grandchildren. His warmth, kindness, and love will be deeply missed by all who knew him.


James donated his body to science in hopes of helping others.  A Celebration of Life will be held on August 17, 2025 from 2pm to 6pm at Lothers, 1677 Petersburg Rd., Hebron, KY 41048.  He will be laid to rest at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North at a later date.
