Donald Lemox of Independence, age 85, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood, KY. He was born on August 18, 1939, to the late Ann {Tepe} and Earl Lemox. Don found joy in the simple pleasures of life — raising goats, chickens, and horses on his farm, and exploring the outdoors with his loyal dog, Dixie, who never left his side. Whether attending a truck or tractor pull, watching a horse show, or riding side-by-sides, he felt most at home surrounded by nature. With a good sense of humor and a big heart, Don loved spending time with his family. He was always ready with a quick wit, a helping hand, or a warm laugh that made moments brighter.

He is survived by his children, Brandy (Terry) McMahan and Joey (Amy) Sipple; grandchildren, Kayla, Paige, Bradley, Hannah, and Alli; great-grandchild, Easton; his close friend, Gene Evans; as well as other friends and relatives who will cherish his memory.

In honoring Don’s wishes, no formal funeral services will be held.
