Carl E. Eason Jr. “Eddie” of Visalia, KY passed away peacefully on Aug 29, 2025 after a long and courageous battle. Eddie was born on June 21, 1964 in Cincinnati, OH. He grew up in the floodwall town of Dayton, KY, attending East Dayton Baptist Church where he is still listed as a member. Eddie, along with his loving mother and father were charter members of East Dayton Baptist, originally a mission of The First Baptist Church of Dayton, KY.

Eddie was incredibly active in sports as a young boy, and a member of both the Dayton Junior Football and Junior Baseball Leagues, playing his favorite position as a pitcher.

After graduating from Campbell County high school, Eddie served his country as a member of the National Guard for eight years.

Eddie went on to be a truck driver for many years, having an unmatched work ethic. Although Eddie never married, his faithful companion on this earth was his beloved Penny, a labrador mix he had lovingly adopted from the shelter as a pup; Outside of his precious mom, Penny would be the joy of his life.

Eddie was preceded in death by his big brother Jimmy, and loving father Carl Sr. He is survived by his loving mother Linda, siblings; Joe (Pam), Kim (David), Sanda, Julie (Tim) and Michelle (Chris); his precious Penny; 12 nieces and nephews, along with many great nieces and nephews, and extended family and friends, who will forever cherish his memory and miss him dearly.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, Sep 3, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, 11382 Madison Pike, Independence, KY 41051. A funeral service will follow the visitation at 11:30 AM. Immediately following the service, Eddie will be laid to rest alongside his loving brother and father at Independence Cemetery. 

Memorial donations may be made in Eddie’s name to Hospice of the Bluegrass.
