Eleanor Jean Russell, née Rector, 96, of Independence, KY, left the embrace of family here on Earth to be held in the arms of her Savior eternally on September 8, 2025. Born on November 3, 1928, in Latonia, KY, she was the daughter of the late Russell Rector and Margaret Stephens Rector.

Jean was a graduate of Simon Kenton High School as well as the University of Kentucky, where she received a Bachelors in business. Bearing an acute acumen for numbers and all things administrative, Jean served many years as a Deputy County Clerk of Kenton County, KY. She was a member of Oak Island Baptist Church. Jean enjoyed reading, cooking and time spent with family.

Jean was the beloved mother of Keith Russell and Kevin (Marie) Russell as well as devoted grandmother to both Chelsea Russell and Catherine Russell. Jean was greeted in Heaven by her late husband, Donald Russell, her parents and her brother Roy Rector.

Jean will be laid to rest in a graveside service on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Independence Cemetery, Independence, KY. If you would like to donate in Jean's memory, the family encourages you to do so to a charity or organization of your choice.
