John William McBroom, II, age 39, of Crittenden, KY, passed away unexpectedly in an auto accident in Woodford County, KY, on Friday, September 12, 2025.

John was a proud graduate of Simon Kenton High School and worked as a truck driver for Verst Group in Walton, KY. He had a curious mind and a creative spirit, which showed through his many hobbies—blacksmithing, 3D printing, reading, and gaming as the fabulous MØV1NG74RG37. Whether it was the quiet focus of target shooting, the laughter shared over board games, or the friendships built through video games, John enjoyed finding ways to connect with others.

He was preceded in death by his father, John William McBroom. Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Georgia Cooper McBroom; his sisters, Amanda Lewis (Katt Lewis) and Melanie McQuinn (Dan); and his beloved niblings, Finnegan Lewis, Atlas Lewis, Greyson Lewis, Elliott Sorrell, Graham Sorrell, and Bennett McQuinn. John also leaves behind a circle of special friends—Justin Williams, Eden Steinfeld (Guinevere), Paige Mace, Luke Mace, and Mike Sexten (Leti)—as well as his loyal Australian cattle dog, Carwyn, who was always by his side.

A Gathering of Friends will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2025, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., with a Celebration of Life Service beginning at 4 p.m. at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home, 11382 Madison Pike, Independence, KY 41051.
