Ruby Frances Vinson Martin, age 89, of Walton, KY, passed away suddenly at her home on Thursday, October 16, 2025.

Ruby was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose faith and gentle spirit left a lasting impression on all who knew her. A homemaker throughout her life, she found joy in caring for her family and serving faithfully as a longtime member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church.

She was well-known for her simple pleasures — such as her years spent running the library at Hickory Grove.  Ruby also had a special talent for crocheting; she lovingly created blankets for every grandchild and great-grandchild, each stitch a reminder of her warmth and care.

Ruby was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Raymond Martin, and her sons, Bobby, Donnie, and most recently Michael Martin (September 30, 2025). She was also preceded in death by her parents and siblings.

Her legacy of love continues through her grandchildren, Erin Martin, Jeremy Martin (Kait), Hannah Martin, Robbie Martin (Lillian), and Phoenix Martin (Nina); and her great-grandchildren, Theodore Martin, Rosalie Martin, Arlo Martin, and Elliot Martin.

Visitation for Ruby will be held on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, with the funeral service immediately following at 12:00 noon, all at Hickory Grove Baptist Church, 11969 Taylor Mill Rd., Independence, KY 41051. Interment will follow at Floral Hills Cemetery.
