Helen Jean Scolf, 86, of Bellevue, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, December 12, 2025, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Ft. Thomas, Kentucky surrounded by her loving family.  Helen was born in Augusta, Kentucky to the late Ples and Betty (Thornsbury) Teegarden.  

Helen found great joy in reading and spending time working on puzzles, activities that reflected her thoughtful and patient nature. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.  Helen was also a faithful member of St. Andrew’s Church in Fort Thomas, Kentucky, where she found spiritual comfort and community.

Helen cherished the time she spent with her daughter, granddaughter and great-grandchildren, who brought her immense happiness and pride. Family was at the heart of her life, and those moments together were among her most treasured.

Her legacy will be carried on through her daughter, Elizabeth (Rusty) Routt; brother Ralph (Patricia) Teegarden; sister Amie Sue Stines; granddaughter Hannah (Ben) Groneck; great-grandchildren Daxton and Emily Groneck; and several other family members and friends who will miss her greatly.

In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years, Billy Scolf.

Services for Helen will be held on Thursday, December 18, 2025, visitation beginning at 4:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 6:00 p.m. at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home, 11382 Madison Pike, Independence, Kentucky 41051.
