Robin Lee Snyder, 76, of Verona, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, December 15, 2025, at home surrounded by his loving family. The son of the late Paul and Doris {Dove} Snyder, Robin was born in Tecumseh, Michigan on June 18, 1949.
Robin was a graduate of Vienna High School in Vienna, Illinois. Shortly after graduation, he was drafted into the United States Army, where he went on to serve as an Officer. He served his country with honor during the Vietnam War and continued his military career for a total of 23 years before retiring. His leadership, dedication, and patriotism were a source of pride for his family and all who knew him.
Robin was a member of All Saints Catholic Church in Walton, where his faith was an important part of his life. In his spare time, Robin enjoyed a wide range of interests that reflected both his curiosity and his appreciation for life’s simple pleasures. He took great pride in growing roses and found joy in farming land. He also enjoyed hunting, golfing, decorating for the holidays, and relaxing at home watching Hallmark movies.
Robin will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 40 years, Lynette {Lyons} Snyder; his children, Mikhaela Snyder, Tyler (Mandi) Brown, Brandi Krueger, and Sonya (Curtis) Farnham; his brother, Dave (Mary Ellen) Snyder; his grandchildren, Brian, Brittany, Stephan, Tatianna, Madison, Kristina, and Amber; his great-grandchildren, Kennedy and Jameson; his special friends, James (Aleah) Bench, Fred (Tammi) Heaggans, and Ryan Krueger; his and Lynette’s many exchange students from countries around the world; and several nieces, nephews, and other family and friends who will forever cherish Robin’s memory.
In addition to his parents, Robin was preceded in death by his siblings, Paul Snyder, Jamie Snyder, and Marion Jane Dixon.
A visitation will be held between 10 AM and 11 AM with a Memorial Mass beginning at 11 AM at All Saints Catholic Church in Walton on Friday, January 16th, 2026. Robin will be inurned at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North, in Williamstown, KY, following his service at 1 PM, where military rites will be held. Memorial donations may be made in Robin’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, designated to Children’s/Patient’s Commodities, via mail to 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
