Cynthia A. Harbeson, age 76, of Walton, KY, passed away Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Edgewood, KY.
Cynthia worked at Fairway Wine and Spirits in Richwood after retiring from Cengage. She virtually attended Seven Hills Church in Florence, KY. Known affectionately as “Cindy,” she enjoyed listening to classic rock music, collecting dolls and clowns, traveling—especially to Florida, South Carolina, New Orleans, and other Southern cities and states—her happy place was relaxing at home watching murder mysteries on television.
She was preceded in death by her father, Willie Gayle Lancaster; mother, Thelma Bettis, husband, John Harbeson, and her brother, Bill Lancaster.
Cynthia is survived by her children, Tina Richards (Adam) and Jonathan Harbeson (Christina); her brother, Randy Wayne Bettis; her grandchildren, Marcus Richards (Samara), Matthew Brock (Hope), Logan Adams, Tristan Harbeson, and Lydia Harbeson; and her great-grandchildren, Kanaan, Aline and Wesley.
Visitation for Cynthia will be held Saturday, January 17, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, with her memorial service beginning at 5:00 PM at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, 8461 Dixie Highway, Florence, KY 41042.
