Sandra Becker, 70, of Independence, KY, passed away on Thursday, February 12, 2026, at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. The daughter of the late Ina {Bayles} Ellis and Richard Ellis, Sandra was born in Kenmore, NY on August 8, 1955. Sandra spent most of her childhood in New York before moving to Barrington, Illinois, where she graduated from Barrington High School. She later met the love of her life, William Becker. Together they shared over 45 years of marriage and were blessed with three children. They first made their home in Bloomingdale, Illinois and later settled down in Sycamore, Illinois. The family then moved to Kentucky and have spent the past ten years in Independence, Kentucky.

Sandra found great joy in gardening, tending to her vegetables and flowers with pride. A true handywoman, she could fix or create just about anything. She was artistic and talented in graphic design and stained glass, always bringing beauty into the lives of those around her.

Above all, Sandra was devoted to her family. She was their biggest cheerleader, faithfully supporting her children and grandchildren in all their activities. Known as a “parent to all,” she offered warmth, encouragement, and love to everyone she met. She also cherished the many dogs she and her husband cared for over the years, especially her current fur-babies Hugo, Bruno, Kali, and Ollie.

Sandra will be deeply missed by her husband, William Becker; her children, Sara Tull (Timothy Provost), Teresa (Charles) Cain, and William Becker; her grandchildren, Ellie Tull, Jalyn Cain, Averyana Cain, and Charley Cain; and her brothers, Michael (Judith) Ellis and Roddie (Carmen) Wood. In addition to her parents, Sandra was preceded in death by her sister, Virginia {Ellis} Calchera.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 19th from 5-8 PM at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home 11382 Madison Pike, Independence, KY 41051. Sandra’s funeral will be held on Friday, February 20th at 10 AM also at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest at Independence Cemetery shortly after her service. The Becker Family welcomes everyone to a reception at Pee Wee’s Place in Crescent Springs following Sandra’s interment.
