Laura Christy, 66, of Covington, KY, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, June 5, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. The daughter of the late Johnny Sizemore and Marilyn Frances Gillum, Laura was born in London, KY, on September 23, 1959.

Laura was a devoted mother, grandmother, and partner whose greatest joy in life was spending time with those she loved most. Her son, Sam, was truly her world, and she cherished every moment she shared with him. She was also a proud and protective grandmother who adored her grandchildren and treasured being a part of their lives.

Laura found happiness sitting on her porch admiring the beauty of the flowers and enjoying the peacefulness of nature. She shared many special evenings with her husband, Jim, watching the stars and creating memories together. Laura was also a devoted pet owner who dearly loved her beloved kitty, Goff.

In addition to her parents, Laura was preceded in death by her sister, Barbara Henson.

She will be deeply missed by her husband, Jim Jester; her son, Sam (Elizabeth) Christy; her grandchildren, Grant, Josie, Jacob, Brooke, and Peyton; and her siblings, Pamela Trollinger and Ernie Sizemore.

Services for Laura will be held on Monday, June 15th with a visitation from 10 AM to 12 PM and the funeral service to begin at 12 PM. Laura will be laid to rest immediately following services at Independence Cemetery.
