Dr. Steve Brook, 58, of Verona, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, July 4, 2026, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Florence, Kentucky.

Born in 1967 in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, England, Dr. Brook dedicated his life to the care of others. A 1997 graduate of the University of Kentucky College of Medicine, he built a distinguished career as a family medicine physician. He proudly served patients through St. Elizabeth Physicians in Crestview Hills and Independence, Kentucky.

Away from the office, Steve could be described as "a glorified carpenter," reflecting his passion for woodworking and his love of tools and building. He was known for his delightfully warped British sense of humor, an enduring appreciation for history, music, and art, and a genuine love of cooking. He also found great joy in spending time with the many animals he cherished throughout his life.

Steve is survived by his wife, Andrea Sayre Brook; his sons, Elliot Brook, Ethan Brook, and Oliver Brook; his mother, Susi Brook; his sister, Jane Brook; and his step-mother, Connie Brook.  His father, Alan Brook preceded him in death.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.  Memorials are suggested to the Boone County Animal Care and Control, 5620 Idlewild Rd., Burlington, KY 41005.
