Ricky Lee Herrington, 68, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 26, 2026, at Bradford Square Nursing Home. Born on April 3, 1958, Ricky was the son of the late Eddie Herrington and Gwen {James} Wester.

Ricky had a lifelong love for football. He proudly played the sport during his high school years and remained a devoted Cincinnati Bengals fan throughout his life. He was also a supporter of the University of Kentucky basketball team. He loved attending performances by his former wife, Jill, and enjoyed supporting her sing with her band, Stars and Legends. Above all, Ricky treasured the time he spent with his many friends, creating countless memories.

Ricky’s legacy will continue through his former wife, Jill Herrington, who remained his friend until the very end. He is also survived by his sisters, Rochell Herrington and Renita Borgstahl; his aunt, Ginger James; his uncle, Greg James; and his many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Eddie Herrington and Gwen Wester as well as his four brothers, Ronnie, Rodney, Roger, and Robby Herrington.
