Obituary of Joy Harvey

Joy Ruth Hardin Harvey, age 75, of Erlanger, died Sunday, April 8th, 2012 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Ft. Thomas. She was a self-employed Antique Dealer and a member of First Church of God in Florence. Mrs. Harvey was a social butterfly who enjoyed playing bingo, traveling, and being a member of the Grandmother's Club of Northern Kentucky. Survivors include her husband, of fifty-five years, Cola Harvey; daughter, Coleen (Michael) Detzel of Florence; son, Gary (Patty) Harvey of Burlington; daughter, Linda Hardin of Naples, FL; sister, Voni Pierce of Somerset, KY; three grandchildren, Celesta Sexton, Phillip Vanover and Jennifer Vanover; three great grandchildren, Cody Sexton, Conner Simpson & Madison Vanover; and beloved aunt and mother of choice to a host of those blessed to know her. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 5 to 8 at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home in Walton. Funeral services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at KY Veteran's Cemetery North in Williamstown, KY. Memorials may be made to Florence First Church of God, 6767 Hopeful Church Road, Florence, KY 41042.
