Obituary of Donald C. Gosney

Donald C. Gosney, age 77, of Independence, KY, passed away Thursday, June 22, 2017. Don was retired from the Firestone retread plant as manager. He enjoyed watching the Cincinnati Reds, NASCAR racing, bowling, hunting and fishing. He was a member of St. Cecilia Church and the Rods and Bottles Fishing Club. He is preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Marcella Gosney, sister, Patty Gosney and brother, Ernie Wayne Gosney.

He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Natalie “Pudgie” Kloeker Gosney, daughters, Donna Hance (Mike), Susan Wallace (Jerry) and Carolyn Berkemeier (Jeff), brothers, Richard “Smokey” Gosney and Michael Gosney, grandchildren, Megan Kelly, Matthew and Mallory Hance, Jonathan and Brittany Wallace, Mandy and Autumn Berkemeier, great-grandchildren, Meredith Kelly and Hunter Wallace.

Visitation will be Monday, June 26, 2017 from 5-8 PM at Chambers & Grubbs Independence and Tuesday, June 27, 2017 from 11-12 PM at St. Cecilia Church in Independence, KY with a Mass of Christian burial beginning at 12 PM. Burial will be in St. Cecilia Church Cemetery.
