Obituary of Dreamah Dawson

Dreamah H. Shearer Dawson, age 77, passed away Thursday, September 13, 2012 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Florence, Ky. She was a former real estate agent who was a member of Sertoma, Inc. and the Pasadena Yacht Club. She was a former lobbyist, was active in the Womens' League, a civil rights advocate and helped open a free hearing and speech clinic in St. Petersburg, FL. Her hobby was crafts. Dreamah was preceded in death by her mother, Grace Dawson; and sisters, Sharon Allen and Joyce Toney.
She is survived by sons, David Dawson of Columbia, SC and Mark Dawson of Arlington, VA; sisters, Beulia Ferguson of Mansfield, OH, Sonuia Mays of Walton, KY and Patricia Jozwiakowski of St. Petersburg, FL; and grandchildren, Boone and Garrett Dawson.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, September 16, 2012 at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home, Florence, Ky. at 3:30 pm. Memorial donations are requested to: Arthritis Foundation, PO Box 96280, Washington D.C., 20077-7491.
