Obituary of Ruth Ann Altenhofen

Ruth Ann Altenhofen, age 76, of Independence KY, passed away Sunday, October 8, 2017, at St. Elizabeth Hospice.

Ruth was born in Crescent Springs, KY, to the late Alfred and Lucille Cullum Perry.

She was a retired Estimator at Artistic Dye, and a Manager at H & R Block. Ruth loved to travel and spend time with family.

She spent her free time reading, playing card games, and cheering on UK. Ruth is preceded in death by her Husband, Donald Altenhofen Sr., and sister Melanie Sue Perry.

She is survived by her sons, Scott and Donald “Chip” (Kimberly) Altenhofen; daughters, Shari Altenhofen, and Melin Castro; many brothers and sisters; grandchildren, Sara Tobin, Emily, Chelsea, Taylor, Joseph, Crystal, Dominic Altenhofen, and Jessica Tomlin; as well as many relatives and friends.

A visitation for Ruth will be held on Thursday, October 12, 2017 from 5 pm - 8 pm, at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home in Independence. Funeral services will follow on Friday, October 13, 2017, at 10 am, at Chambers & Grubb Independence.

Burial will take place at Burlington Cemetery.
